Here at San Diego Hospice, we are are always on the lookout for wonderful volunteers to join our organization. In addition to our dedicated 850 employees, volunteers play a significant role in carrying out our mission. Whether patient care-related, specialty skill-driven, or focused on organizational needs, the time and talent devoted by our volunteers is priceless. Recently, one of our long-time volunteers, Harry Bair, was recognized for his volunteer efforts with San Diego Hospice, and the community-at-large, with the Grossmont Healthcare District “Health Hero” award. It is clear that the heart of a volunteer is appreciated and recognized by the those whose lives they have touched.
